About The Event
Join Us for a Freedom Trail Clean-Up Day!
Help us care for the beautiful Freedom Trail in Akron with a volunteer clean-up event on Saturday, June 14. The Freedom Trail is a connective corridor, bridging the gap for cyclists between downtown Akron and Kent. Starting near the Portage Hike & Bike Trail in Kent, this multipurpose trail – on land owned by METRO Regional Transit Authority – follows an unused railroad corridor. The railroad corridor provides wildlife with a linear connection between green spaces. Bald eagles, coyote and white-tailed deer use these grounds as their home. Nathan Keis will be the OTC representative leading this adventure.
This is a great opportunity to get outdoors, support the community, and protect our local environment!
Date: Saturday, June 14
Time: 10 AM - 12 PM
Location: Arlington Trailhead - 390 N Arlington St. There is limited parking so please carpool if possible.
